Vermont Works for Women
Vermont Works for Women helps women and girls recognize their potential and explore, pursue, and excel in work that leads to economic independence.
Step In to Work
Step In to Work provides an opportunity for deep skill-building and hands-on learning which helps prepare women for meaningful, livable-wage work. With its rolling admission and customizable approach to addressing each woman’s unique needs, Step In to Work is well poised to assist women in securing long-term employment while also providing on-going, structured post program support.
Incarcerated Women
Since 2001, Vermont Works for Women has partnered with the Vermont Department of Corrections (DOC) to provide the state’s incarcerated women with a range of work-readiness services in preparation for reentry. Since 2011, our efforts have been located inside the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility (CRCF) in South Burlington, Vermont’s sole women’s prison.
